Le Mans Cathedral – Candela

La Nuit des Chimères has been present in Le Mans for several years. Until now, the content has been largely figurative, with fairly traditional themes.

Our ambition is not to rewrite what has already been (very well) done, but rather to bring something different—exploring new creative directions with more advanced technical means than in previous years.

We aim to initiate a smooth transition, starting from a more classical visual language and gradually moving toward a more modern and abstract graphic treatment.

The narrative approach is more elliptical, leaning toward suggestion rather than description: we evoke stained glass rather than directly depicting it, and touch on themes of worship, the desire for elevation, and the idea of the “book in stone” in a more indirect way, focusing on the architectural features of the choir.
